The Pokemon card set Jungle was a set of cards released by Nintendo in 1996, and was the first set of cards to be released internationally. It contained 62 cards, many of which featured the original Kanto region Pokemon. It was one of the earliest sets to contain special rare cards, and featured many of the popular starter Pokemon. These cards allowed players to enhance their decks by battling their opponents’ Pokemon and earning rewards. The set also included a separate set of rules for playing the game, as well as two new energy types, which further enabled players to develop their decks. It also introduced the concept of holo cards, which were limited to one copy per pack and had colorful artwork. This set of cards also introduced the popular Dark and Steel Energy types, allowing players to increase the strength of their moves. Jungle was a highly sought-after set of cards, and many players still own them to this day.
