Brilliant Stars

Pokémon Trading Card Game: Brilliant Stars is a special set in the popular Pokémon Trading Card Game. It was released on June 28th, 2019. This card set features 79 cards, including 36 Pokémon-GX cards and 5 full-art ultra rare cards. The set contains 6 different themes, each highlighting one of the six star Pokémon – Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, and Meowth. Each Pokémon-GX card allows players to choose from two powerful attacks, while the ultra rare full-art cards feature one of the featured stars in the artwork. The set also includes several Trainer cards, which can help to enhance a player’s strategy. Two new Mechanics are featured in the Brilliant Stars set: “GX Battle” and “Trainer Bottoms Up”. GX Battle cards allow players to take extra damage in order to power up their attacks. Meanwhile, Trainer Bottoms Up cards allow players to thin their deck in order to draw a card from the bottom of their deck. This set also includes “Supporter Cards”, which are powerful combination cards that can be unlocked for extra damage. Finally, the set includes a selection of 4 special Energy Cards, with each one featuring one of the stars on the face. These cards offer players a unique method of countering attacks.
