Forbidden Light

The Pokemon TCG: Forbidden Light is a set of cards released by the Pokemon Trading Card Game in 2018. The set contains over 135 cards, featuring Alolan and Ultra Beasts. The set contains cards from the Sun and Moon series, including the Sun and Moon—Crimson Invasion set, with the addition of some cards from the mini-set Sun and Moon—Forbidden Light. The set features a number of rare and powerful cards, with many cards either becoming staples in multiple archetypes, or creating powerful new archetypes. It also introduces the new ‘GX’ mechanic, with some cards featuring powerful GX attacks as well as other attributes. Some cards of note are the Rainbow Ultra Beasts, Tapu Lele-GX and Buzzwole-GX, two very powerful cards which were both featured in the 2018 World Championships.

Players can expect to find a variety of different types of cards in this set, including Normal and Special Energy cards, Trainer cards, and Pokemon cards. Many of the Pokemon cards feature GX attacks, which can be used to start the game early. It also features the new Psychic Shockwave attack, which can be used to pile on damage to the opponents Pokemon. Other notable cards in the set include the Ultra Beasts, which have special abilities that can turn the tide of battle. This set also introduces a new Stadium card, Stadium of Silence, which can stop Pokemon from using certain abilities.
