Guardians Rising

Pokémon TCG: Guardians Rising (also known as Collection Sun and Collection Moon in Japan) is a expansion set of the Trading Card Game and was released on May 5, 2017. The set features over 140 cards, including 11 Prism Star cards and two new Tag Team-GX cards. The expansion focuses on the Alola region and revolves around the Legendary Pokémon Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu and Tapu Fini, the four Guardian Pokémon of Alola.

The set includes a variety of cards, from area-specific Pokémon such as Rockruff and Lycanroc to brand new playable cards like Decidueye-GX and Alolan Ninetales. Additionally, a new mechanic is introduced in this set, the “Power-Up” mechanic. This modifier allows players to increase the power level of a Pokémon by stacking energy cards onto the Pokémon.
