The Pokémon Trading Card Game: Neo Destiny set consists of 111 cards, released in 2002. It is a follow up to the Neo Discovery set, which was released the same year. It continues on the same storyline of the Neo Series, with the introduction of the Dark/Light duo type Pokémon – Dark/Light Lugia and Dark/Light Ho-oh. This set is focused on the Metal and Divine Beasts, featuring Shining Pokemon. It introduces the Darkness Energy and Metal Energy cards, and many other popular Pokémon, including Blastoise Ⅱ, Crobat, Magcargo, Beedrill Ⅱ, Meganium, Scizor, Entei, Suicune, Raikou, and Scyther. This set includes several powerful and rare cards, including Neo Destiny Shiny Charizard, Shining Steelix, Shining Magcarp and Shining Ho-oh. Collectors prize Neo Destiny cards because they feature bonus foil prints on each of the rare cards, making them even more valuable.
