Price History
Pokemon card set Gym Heroes is a series of 110 cards released in America in August 2000. It focuses on the Gym Leaders of the Johto League and the Kanto Gym Leaders who appeared in just the anime. This specially designed set features holographic cards of the Gym Leaders released in tandem with both non-holo and foil versions of their Pokemon. The main focus of the set is Grass, Fire and Water type Pokemon, followed by electric and fighting type Pokemon. Special cards included Pikachu, Eevee, Sandshrew, and Gyarados.
Each card is color coded according to type. Grass type Pokemon are depicted in green, Fire type in red, Water type in blue, electric type in yellow, and fighting type in grey. Each card also features an illustration of the Gym Leader and their signature Pokemon. There is also a special Trainer card for each Gym Leader, featuring their signature move and Stadium card.
