Boundaries Crossed

Boundaries Crossed is the fifth expansion set of the English Pokemon Trading Card Game and was released on November 7, 2012. This expansion set features almost 110 cards, including the cities of Unova, Three different Ace Spec cards, and includes more than 30 Pokemon from the Unova region. This set also introduces Mega Evolution, which allows certain Pokemon to evolve temporarily and gain more powerful abilities. The set also marks the first time English language sets were released alongside Japanese sets. It also features new patterned Rare and Ultra Rare holographic cards. This expansion set includes 4 Pokemon-EX, 19 Trainer cards, and 25 Energy cards. Boundaries Crossed contains a number of new cards, such as 2 new Ace Spec cards, Rare, Ultra Rare, and Secret Rare cards, and a new Full Art Rare secret. It's also the first set to feature the new Pokemon type - Fairy. The set also marks the introduction of the Pokemon-GX, which are XY-era Pokemon cards with special attacks and abilities, as well as special full-art versions. Boundaries Crossed also contains the full-art versions of both GX and Ex cards, which all feature their own unique artwork. This set is an expansion of the Black and White series, so it features all the Pokemon from that series. It is also plays an important role in setting up for the following sets as it features some cards which will become essential for future games and decks.
